Summer 2024 Activities

Breakfast Clubs

The Foundation continued with its school holiday childrens activities and breakfast clubs for the community. During the 5 breakfast clubs, on average 4o participants received a free hot or cold breakfast and were able to take part in our crafting activities.

St James' Park visit

A number of families attended our free visit and tour accross the water to St James' park.  Not quite Gateshead stadium but not bad.

Football Pop-ups

It was great to partner up with Friends of Felling Park again over the summer to run our free football pop-ups with over 30 children attending each session and thankfully no rain this time.

Adventure Valley

Everybody enjoyed it so much last year so we had to go back and check on Clarky the goat. Clarky (not the goat) was even able to organise an impromptu football match.

Fairy Tea Party

It would not be summer without our fairy tea party at Bensham Grove.

Football combined with Nutrition

All 12 of our free football camps were fully booked again this year with over 50 children per session attending. We also combined a number of nutrition and cookery classes into the sessions with the help of the Nourish Food School, to give the children insight into healthy eating.

Paddingtons Birthday Party

You can never have enough parties so why not have a party for Paddington, and find new homes for all his little friends.

Back to School

In partnership with the Ballenger Trust and Amazon we were able to help 128 children with back to school essentials.

Stadium of Stories

It was a great day for the Foundation joining up with its partner the National Literacy Trust and a number of local charities at Gateshead stadium for the Stadium of Stories event.

Finally a huge thank you to our partners and funders for making this a great summer.
